Biographies of Puentes Board of Directors, Staff, and Forced Volunteers.

Rose McNutly

Rose is a graduate student from Wisconsin. Fluent in Spanish she aids our administrative, translation and graphic design duties. She also brings experience in non profit administration from previous positions. In her free time Rose sleeps as much as she can.

Ann Drazkowski

Ann has lived in Peru for a year. Using her previous work experience, knowledge of the language and of the Peruvian culture and society she founded Puentes and carries out the roles of director and janitor. Basically within Puentes she is the boss, a position that no one seems to understand well but still everything works out fine. Ann doesn’t have free time at the moment but hypothetically she would spend it sleeping.

Enrique Plasencia

Enrique (Kike) is native to Chapolan and currently lives in Trujillo. He was the first in his village to successfully enter the University of Trujillo and graduated with a degree in literature. His knowledge of coastal and mountainous Peru and previous work experience as a professor and administrator in the Ministry of Education bring a wealth of experience to our organization. In addition to his duties in Puentes he also is on the board of directors of Infolee, an organization that promotes reading and literacy throughout La Libertad. In his free time he dedicates himself to the art of brichaje.

Jessica Morales

Jessica is from Salpo and currently based in Trujillo. She received her nursing degree and is certified in the faculty of medicine in the treatment of tropical diseases specializing in Uta. Her experience growing up in an epidemic zone for Uta as well as medical background support our Uta program and in our relations with our patients. In her free time she chases her four year old son around.

David Novoa

Native to La Campina de Moche, David has run the Moche Animal Refuge for ten years now. He is also a nationally acclaimed poet in Peru. Within Puentes he is the person that we send somewhere when we don’t feel like doing something. This position is critical to the success the organization and more than deserving of a biography in this section. David does not have free time either but hypothetically he would spend it climbing the big hill behind his house over and over again.

David Mercedes

David aids our translating and volunteer services. He aids in several programs the details of which can be found at www.espaanglisch.com. In his free time he is a beach bum.

Gale Hansen
