Educational Program Puentes is associated with rural educational institutions that are exploring new methods of incorporating technical and business instruction into their general education programs. This program is in response to a nation wide curriculum based on an urban reality and has four objectives: Increase professors' capacity to teach about sustainable agriculture and small business principles to high school studetns Procure the donation of at least 5 acres of land for exclusive lab use Design self financing programs using cultivated products Increase rural inforamtion base in key communities
Puentes is in contact with two school districts: Huaranchal and Simbron. |

Sustainable Small Business Programs Puentes main work focus is forming small businesses in rural areas with the capacity to reach urban markets. The objectives of this program are three fold: Replace environmentally damaging and non productive agricultural processes with sustainable methods Teach formerly independent farmers the value of cooperation, business and the improtance of their surrounding environment to their work Include basic health and educational goals as neccesary objectives to meet in order to recieve Puentes aid.
