2007: Moche Environmental Center The Moche Environmental Center, under the direction of David Novoa, received a grant for much needed remodeling and classroom space for the hundreds of children that visit the facilities annually. The Moche Animal Refuge was founded over ten years ago as an animal refuge for wild animals traded illegally on the black market. After amassing a collection of over 100 animals, many from endangered species, the refuge opened its doors to educators and designed hands-on science and environmental education for both students and adults. 2008: CEBA Computer Center The Trujillo CEBA night school was the recipient of a fully equipped computer center for its 200 students. The CEBA program is a state sponsored effort to incorporate working kids and teens needs into the educational system. Unfortunately the extreme need in traditional education often leaves the CEBA schools short of funds. We are proud to support the CEBA program’s efforts to bring alternative education opportunities to a student population of differing backgrounds and futures. |
