There
are various ways to support Puentes. We always welcom individual
donations. Intterested parties sohuld contact Puentes at the
information provided on this website. In addition we often have
artisan products available for sale in Wisconsin and Minnesota.
The proceeds from these sales benefit our programs. Check the
site for updates on what is available or contact Ann Drazkowski
at adrazkowski@puentesngo.org.
There are always specific needs to be filled by durable goods
donations: used clothes, particularly winter clothes, are necessary.
Respiratory infections and other illnesses often reach high
levels during cold months. These infections are highly damaging
to the youngest and oldest of La Libertad. Technology donations
are always welcome. Much of rural La Libertad has the capacity
to connect to Internet however the computer infrastructure is
lacking. In addition computer skills are a necessary component
in isolated communities. They provide an immediate link to the
outside world. Finally medical equipment for the regional hospitals
and medical posts is necessary. As some of these donations require
a more detailed examination of needs interest parties should
contact Puentes.
Volunteer services, depending on their nature,
are also welcome. Even if a volunteer does not end up in one
of our programs we have contacts throughout the region with
volunteer placement agencies and other non-profits. We require
that these contacts maintain a level service appropriate to
guarantee the security of volunteers. Interested parties can
also contact Drazkowski at the address above.
If none of these options sound interesting
to you but you feel that you can support in another way please,
again, feel free to contact us.
